If you are a fan of Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes mysteries, Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express, or Gosho Aoyama’s manga Detective Conan, and you enjoy B-grade emotional comedies, you will love the irresistibly charismatic Detective K.
K becomes a detective with dreams of living in style. He is passionate about his work and takes great pride in it, but he struggles to find cases and is barely managing to pay the rent. One day, he finally gets a break - a murder case and travels to Su-in Village to investigate. There, he meets Sharon, the victim’s daughter and a key witness, along with Phuc, the prime suspect, in a dark and secretive forest village. K soon realizes that the relationship between the two is far more complicated than it appears.
The audience is drawn into the mystery, uncovering the hidden secrets and conspiracies of Su-in Village, all while trying to figure out the elusive culprit. The live band’s increasingly intense performance, combined with animated background artwork that shifts like scenes from a cartoon, makes the audience feel as though they are stepping into Detective K’s world. The laugh-out-loud B-grade humor delivered by the actors is a key highlight, making this detective drama both fun and entertaining.
